9 Bible Verses about Giving During Challenging Times
Tithing and giving offerings during hard times can seem difficult and even impossible. While there may be times when there’s no way to give at all, these scriptures call us to reframe our view of generosity when it seems like that is true.

– Proverbs 21:25-26 (TPT)
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
– Matthew 6:31-33 (NIV)
Jesus looked up and saw rich men putting their money into the money box in the house of God. He saw a poor woman whose husband had died. She put in two very small pieces of money. He said, “I tell you the truth, this poor woman has put in more than all of them. For they have put in a little of the money they had no need for. She is very poor and has put in all she had. She has put in what she needed for her own living.”
– Luke 21:3-4 (NLV)

Every Sunday, each of you make a generous offering by taking a portion of whatever God has blessed you with and placing it in safekeeping. Then I won’t have to make a special appeal when I come.
– 1 Cor 16:2 (TPT)
Bring the tenth part into the store-house, so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,” says the Lord of All. “See if I will not then open the windows of heaven and pour out good things for you until there is no more need.”
